Leisure activities abound in the area and whether you are looking for horse riding, golf, fishing, walking surfing, bird watching or other pursuits we guarantee you will be spoilt for choice.

You may be content just to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our wonderful location. But should you wish to try more energetic activities there are plenty available. Southerndown Golf Club is directly opposite our property and visitors with a handicap certificate are welcome to arrange with the club secretary to play the course.

Other well known courses such as Royal Porthcawl and Pyle and Kenfig are nearby whilst the Celtic Manor the home of the 2010 Ryder Cup is forty minutes drive away.

If its sea or river fishing that you are interested in then you really are are spoilt for choice.

Depending on the season, licences are available for the Ogmore and Ewenny rivers which are both within a hundred yards of our property whilst the river estuary and the Bristol Channel are nearby.

The local riding stables are only a two minute walk away and as well as offering riding lessons there are daily treks through the sand dunes to the beach at Ogmore.

Making your riding arrangements couldn't be easier as the owners of the stables, a well known riding family, live next door and should you wish to bring your own horses livery can be arranged. During the season Point to Point meetings are also regularly held in the area.

If it's a gentle stroll or a more energetic trek that you want then the local countryside will fit your requirements.

The local area is ideal walking country with mountains and beaches on our doorstep whilst the Brecon Beacons are just an hours drive away.

Cardiff and the world famous Millenium Stadium is a twenty five minute drive away. In February, March and November, Wales play their home games at the stadium and we are able to offer weekend breaks with transport and tickets for the games included.
